Description:
The Microcystin plate kit is a competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. Microcystins are a group of liver toxins produced by blue-green algae such as Microcystis aeruginosa. Microcystin-LR is one of the most common of over 50 different congeners. Cyanobacteria can produce large amounts of microcystins during algal blooms, which then pose a significant threat. This kit can be used for rapid detection of microcystins in liquid samples (e.g. water, wastewater, algal cultures) and solid samples (e.g. fish).
