From a cross of MUT-611 pf13 mt+ x MUT-7 ac51 mt-. This strain couples distal markers on both arms of linkage group IX. The ac51 marker is somewhat difficult to score; the phenotype is clearer at high pH (make Tris-minimal medium and adjust the pH to 8.3).
