Description:
This strain grows on nitrate. Chloroplast DNA digested with Bam HI shows slightly smaller fragments Bam 9 and 10 in the inverted repeat region compared to MUT-125 wild type, but otherwise it appears to be representative of the standard laboratory strains from the 1945 sample.
