Description:
This strain is derived from MUT-588 ac206 mt-, an isolate that had become suppressed. Wild type MUT-125 mt+ was crossed to MUT-588, an acetate-requiring product was isolated, and this product, which was mt-, was crossed again to MUT-125. Linkage to XIV was verified by a cross to MUT-551 ac177. Please see MUT-939 for more information on ac206.
