Description:
This is the basic "137c" wild type strain and is presumably equivalent to strain 11/32d. MUT-124 and MUT-125 carry the nit1 and nit2 mutations, and cannot grow on nitrate as their sole N source. MUT-124 carries the agg1 allele for phototactic aggregation (see MUT-1328 for more information), in contrast to MUT-125, which has the agg1+ allele at this locus.
