Description:
This is the original sup-pf1 allele described as R6, a suppressor of pf6. It was characterized as a mutation in the spoke specific suppressor system, which restores motility to radial spoke- and central-pair defective mutants without altering spoke or central pair defects. It was subsequently shown to be an allele at the ODA4 locus, corresponding to the gene encoding the beta heavy chain of the outer dynein arm.
