This strain was derived from the following series of crosses, which were carried out in an unsuccessful attempt to map this mutation. MUT-33 cr4 mt+ x MUT-1144 sr1 msr1 nr1 act2 pyr1 NIT+ mt-. A product from this cross was then crossed to MUT-1256 pyr1 ery3 sr1 act-2 mt+.
