Description:
The kr-u-24-2 mutant was solated using nitrosoguanidine as mutagen. This strain is resistant to 50-100 micrograms/mL kanamycin or neamine in agar. The mutation is a change from C to U at position 1341 (equivalent to E. coli 1409) in the chloroplast 16S rRNA.
