Description:
The fla11 mutant slowly resorbs flagella at 32 °C and is slow to generate flagella when induced to form gametes at 21 °C. It was determined that this is a point mutation in the gene encoding the IFT172 protein, resulting in a Leu to Pro change at amino acid residue 1615.
