Description:
The original arg10 mutant, induced using ethyl methanesulfonate, was deficient in acetylornithine glutamate transacetylase, and required arginine, citrulline or ornithine for growth. Unfortunately MUT-2002, which is our only arg10 strain, has acquired a suppressor and is no longer auxotrophic. We are trying to recover the original mutant.
