Description:
The ODA3 locus corresponds to the gene encoding an 83.4 kDa component of the outer dynein arm docking complex. This is the original oda3 mutant, UV-induced in the 137c background. It lacks outer dynein arms, swims more slowly than wild-type cells and lacks the backward swimming response to stimulation with intense light.
