Description:
The A4d strain was derived from a cross between B1 (= MUT-2694, which is no longer in the collection) and LM3-4D1c (= MUT-2692). It carries the nuclear Ds521 CAB deficiency mutation and the B1 deletion mutation in the chloroplast psbA gene. It has been used extensively in studies of PSI by Mets and others.
