Nitrosoguanidine-induced in wild type mt-. This is the original mutant. This strain has reduced levels of cytochrome oxidase and abnormal mitochondrial ultrastructure. At last check, the strain still showed a dark-dier phenotype, with some very slow growth of light green colonies in the dark.
