Nitrosoguanidine-induced in wild type mt+. This is the original mutant. This strain has reduced levels of cyanide-sensitive respiration and cytochrome oxidase, but essentially normal mitochondrial ultrastructure. At last check, the strain showed a leaky dark-dier phenotype.
