Description:
The cr4 mutant is deficient in chloroplast ribosomes and accumulates 54S subunit particles. This strain was derived from a cross of the original cr4 mutant to a wild type strain equivalent to MUT-124. It can be scored as acetate requiring on minimal medium at 15-17 °C.
