From cross MUT-148 er-u-37 sr-u-2-60 x MUT-146 nr1-1 spr-u-1-6-2 mt-. This strain is resistant to erythromycin but sensitive to streptomycin, neamine and spectinomycin. This is a mt+ stock equivalent to MUT-67 er-u-37 mt-. er-u-37 is a good chloroplast marker for erythromycin resistance, and has been used in many crosses. It maps to the center of the 23S rRNA gene, proximal to the intron. Please see MUT-67 for more information on this mutation.
