Description:
This is an osmoregulatory mutant that grows best on TAP medium supplemented with .06 M sucrose, sorbitol or lactose. It was obtained by UV mutagenesis of MUT-124 wild type mt-, backcrossed and re-isolated five times since then. The strains used for backcrossing were MUT-124, MUT-125 and MUT-1036.
