Description:
The osm15 mutant was obtained from phosphate-enriched culture of low-phosphate-uptake survivors of a UV-irradiated culture of wild type MUT-125 . It was backcrossed twice more with wild type MUT-124 and re-selected. This strain should be maintained on TAP medium supplemented with 0.06 M sucrose or lactose.
