MUT-4035 lpb1 mt+
Catalog No: ALS-03264
Product Details
Subategory:
Mutants
Description:
Cells of the lpb1 mutant start to die after one day of phosphate deprivation, and viability goes down to about 15% after five days. The specific response for phosphate starvation, including alkaline phosphatase activity and up-regulation of the Ptb2 and Psr1 genes, is similar to wild type. This strain was derived by insertional mutagenesis of MUT-425 with pJD67 ARG7, followed by five rounds of back-crossing to wild type MUT-125. The ARG7 insertion site is in the 5532th bp of the genomic clone.
