Description:
The ac-u-i-2-25 mutant is deficient in chloroplast ATP synthase activity. The original mutant strain also lacked chlorophyll protein complex CP I and was originally thought to have a primary defect in this protein. Subsequent analysis showed that this mutant has a leaky ATP synthase-deficient phenotype in dim light. See MUT-104 for additional information on the spr-u-1-27-3 mutant.
