DN2 is a sub-species of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii isolated from an environmental sample taken at 13,000 feet in Breckenridge, Colorado. DN2 exhibits a large size compared to MUT-124 and can grow at low temperatures. It has been grown at 4 °C.
