Description:
Directed mutagenesis and chloroplast transformation of rbcLΔ-25B1 mt+ (MUT-4700) were used to create an N95D substitution in the Rubisco large subunit to investigate the interaction between Rubisco and Rubisco activase. It has been maintained with acetate medium in darkness to prevent selection for secondary mutations that may alter the interactions between activase and Rubisco.
