Description:
A plasmid containing the rbcL-C256F/K258R/I265V gene was transformed into rbcLΔ-MX3312 mt+ (MUT-4696). This strain was created for isogenic comparison with rbcL-V221C/V235I/C256F/K258R/I265V mt+ (Penta). The strain has been maintained with acetate medium in darkness to prevent selection for secondary mutations that may improve Rubisco function.
