Description:
The UVS9 gene is on Chromosome 10 (Cre10.g429050) and encodes an XPG homolog. The uvs9 allele has a nonsense mutation in exon 9. The original uvs9 was generated by chemical mutagenesis (N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine) of "137c mt(+)". This strain is a descendant of uvs9.
