This is a cross of an lcid tagged strain with a pmp1 mutant. This strain is a wall-less mt+ progeny with a mutation in the LCIB gene and an insert in the LCID gene conferring it paromomycin resistance. This strain requires high CO2 concentrations for phototrophic growth.
