Description:
This strain was recovered from UV mutagenesis. An MRC1 transposon is inserted in the 3' UTR of the RSP16 (HSP40) gene. Most cells have jerky flagella and small fraction of cells are motile. A trace amount of RSP16 is detected by Western blots of pf33 axonemes.
