This mutant wiggles or swims slowly, and is easy to score. The flagella show shallow bend forms. MUT-1026 is preferred for research studies, since it is better characterized, but MUT-604 does show the correct linkage position for this mutation and is an acceptable mt- stock of pf3 for genetic analysis.
