Description:
It is found that photosynthetic electron transport was normal in the ac16 mutant; carotenoids were only slightly different from those of wild type cells. This mutant was listed as nonphotosynthetic, with low or absent CO2 fixation, normal pigmentation; the nature of the photosynthetic lesion is unknown.
