Obtained from a cross of MUT-105 (a derivative of the original chloroplast mutant spr-u-1-27-3 strain; see MUT-104) to MUT-126, a spectinomycin-sensitive strain no longer in the stock collection. It is easily scored as resistant to 100 micrograms/mL spectinomycin on agar.
