Description:
The Algae Transformation Reagent is a buffer that enhances the transformation efficiency of a wide range of Chlamydomonas strains. One of the biggest obstacles to Chlamydomonas research and development is the introduction of exogenous DNA into Chlamydomonas strains due to rigid cell walls. Methods such as glass bead agitation, electroporation, and particle bombardment can be used, but usually result in low transformation efficiency.
