Genomics is the study of the nucleotide sequence of the complete genome of an organism, as well as the structural composition and function of genes. Genomics is also the most widely used basic science and technology in omic technologies. Research directions can broadly be divided into structural genomics and functional genomics. Mushrooms are widely used as food and/or medicine by people worldwide. Although they are a valuable resource for new drug candidates, most mushroom species cannot be thoroughly studied in the laboratory, partly due to the lack of reference genomes. Genomic data could be of great interest to facilitate the artificial cultivation of mushrooms and the discovery of novel drug candidates.

Lifeasible offers comprehensive mushroom genomics services to help you obtain the whole genome sequence of your mushroom, predict the critical genes involved in the life process, and study the specific expression pattern and molecular genetic information of that gene using gene cloning, transgenesis, gene editing, and other techniques. You can benefit from our genomics services if you are researching mushroom growth and development mechanisms.
Lifeasible has a cutting-edge high-throughput sequencing technology platform for whole-genome studies of mushrooms. With the technology, we provide a preliminary analysis of the size, structure, and function of the mushroom genome and additional annotation of the genome to obtain a wealth of functional genetic information. Our specialty service is the identification of biosynthetic pathways or biosynthetic gene clusters (BGC) for bioactive metabolites.
Lifeasible offers proven gene cloning and transgenesis technologies that allow for the editing and modification of functional genes in the genome, leading to the progressive artificial transformation of edible mushrooms.
Our successful application of genomics to mushroom research helps us to quickly obtain basic information about mushrooms so that we can analyze the genetic structure and evolution of mushrooms from genetic and taxonomic perspectives and provide a reference for mushroom species classification.
