Hormones play a vital role in human health, especially for women, and hormone imbalance can lead to various pathological conditions, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, etc. Hormone imbalance is considered a silent killer and is becoming a real epidemic worldwide. Mushrooms hold promise as a great source of treatment for conditions related to hormone imbalances.
Lifeasible provides one-stop preclinical research services for the development of drugs based on mushroom-active substances for the treatment of some hormone imbalance diseases. By finding and developing substances in mushrooms that can regulate hormone balance, and studying their hormone regulation mechanism in preclinical, possible treatments for some hormonal imbalance diseases can be provided.
Hormone imbalance, too much or too little, may cause serious effects throughout the body. Mushrooms have been found to help the body resist hormonal changes and restore natural homeostasis. Ganoderma lucidum helps balance hormones by supporting the adrenal glands, reducing inflammation, boosting the immune system, reducing stress, and improving sleep quality. It exhibits antiandrogenic activity, promoting the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone by reducing the level of 5α-reductase. Cordyceps sinensis can promote the secretion of insulin, has certain androgen-like effects and anti-estrogen-like effects, and can enhance the synthesis and secretion of adrenal cortex hormones, thereby regulating hormone balance.
