In Vivo
Sinococuline (0.5-2.0 mg/kg/day; i.p. twice a day for 5 days) decreases the morbidity and increases the survival of severely DENV-infected AG129 mice, with no body weight change.
In Vitro
Sinococuline (0.5-5.0 μg/mL; 6 days) inhibits the non-structural protein-1 (NS1) release by DENV-2 infected Vero cells.Sinococuline (0-40 μg/mL; 48 h) inhibits pan-DENV infection in Vero cells, with IC50s of 0.2, 0.08, 0.17, and 0.1 μg/mL for DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4, respectively.
