Azotobacter Agar (Glucose) is recommended for isolation and cultivation of Glucose positive Azotobacter species fromsoil.

Off white to beige homogeneous free flowing powder

Characteristic

Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 25-30 centigrade for 24-48 hours or longer.
Reaction of 3.14% w/v aqueous solution at 25 centigrade. pH : 7.6±0.2.

Storage

Store below 30 centigrade in tightly closed container and the prepared medium at 2 - 8 centigrade.

Instructions

Suspend 31.4 grams in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. If slight precipitate occurs after autoclaving, distribute it evenly before pouring intosterile Petri plates.
