Malt Yeast Agar is recommended for the cultivation and maintenance of yeast and moulds.

Cream to brownish yellow homogeneous free flowing powder
Characteristic
Cultural characteristics was observed after an incubation at 25 - 30 centigrade for 48 - 72 hours.
Reaction of 4.10% w/v aqueous solution at 25 centigrade. pH : 6.2±0.2.
Storage
Store below 30 centigrade in tightly closed container and the prepared medium at 2 - 8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 41 grams in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121 centigrade for 15 minutes. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri plates.
