Phytopathogenic Microbe Boric Acid Peptone Agar Base is selective medium for the detection of Pseudomonas syringae on seeds of beans and also for the detection of Ps. porri , Ps. pisi and Ps. tomato on seeds of resp. leek, pea and tomato.

Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 25-30 centigrade for 5-6 days.
Reaction of 3.87% w/v aqueous solution (containing 3% glycerol ) is pH 7.20 at 25 centigrade.
Storage
Store below 30 centigrade and the prepared medium at 2 - 8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 38.73 grams in 1000 ml distilled water containing 30ml glycerol. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50 centigrade. Aseptically add the rehydrated contents of one vial of CNC Supplement. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri plates.
