Phytopathogenic Microbe casein hydrolysate yeast extract agar base is semi selective medium for the detection of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp michiganensis on seeds of tomato.

Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed with added CNP supplement (PHS003), after an incubation at 25-30 centigrade for 6-7 days.
Reaction of 3.77% w/v aqueous solution is pH 7.4 at 25 centigrade.
Storage
Store below 30 centigrade and the prepared medium at 2 - 8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 37.35 grams in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize both the solutions separately by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50 centigrade. Aseptically add the contents of one vial of CNP supplement. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri plates.
