Phytopathogenic Microbe lactose trehalose agar base is semi-selective medium for the detection Xanthomonas hortorum pv carotae in carrot.

Cream to yellow coloured, homogeneous, free flowing powder
Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed with added CNTB supplement-1 (PHS005), after an incubation at 30-32 centigrade for 5-6 days.
Reaction of 3.51% w/v aqueous solution is pH 6.6 at 25 centigrade.
Storage
Store below 30 centigrade and the prepared medium at 2 - 8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 35.1 grams in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize the medium by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50 centigrade and aseptically add the rehydrated contents of one vial of CNTB supplement-1. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri plates.
