Product Name
Exosome Fluorescent Dyes (DiR)
Overview
DiR is a lipophilic, near-infrared fluorescent anthocyanine dye. Its two 18-carbon chains can bind to cell membranes or lipophilic biomolecules for specific, stable staining. The infrared light emitted by DiR passes efficiently through cells and tissues and is therefore commonly used for in vivo imaging and tracing.
Molecular Formula
C63H101IN2
Solvent
DMSO, λEx/λEm(MeOH) = 748/780 nm
Caution
All fluorescent dyes have quenching problems, please pay attention to avoid light to slow down the quenching of fluorescence.
The working solution of the dye should be prepared and used now, not in advance, otherwise the dyeing effect will be affected.
When fixing cell or tissue samples with DiR staining, the samples should be fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde, and the use of another inappropriate fixative will result in a higher fluorescence background.
