Description
Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV) is an important plant virus, which has a wide range of hosts and is distributed throughout the world. Infection of CMV greatly impacts on the yield and quality of economic crops.
The occurrence of CMV in orchids differs from CymMV and ORSV. Its transmission mainly comes from other infected plants surrounding orchid gardens and spread to orchids in a non-permanent manner via aphids.
Host Range
Chinese squash, cucumber, watermelon, other cucurbitaceae crops and solanaceous crops such as tomato, pepper, and tobacco.
