Streptococcus uberis Detection Kits

Streptococcus uberis Detection Kits

Cat#
FPD-005
Product Name
Streptococcus uberis Detection Kits
Product Overview
Streptococcus uberis Detection kit is designed for the detection of Streptococcus uberis in milk.
Antigen Description
Streptococcus uberis, a Gram-positive bacterium, is the environmental pathogen responsible for most cases of mastitis in lactating dairy cows. It is also the main microorganism isolated from the mammary gland during the non-lactation period. S. uberis is highly resistant and often difficult to treat. Mastitis caused by S. uberis will cause severe reductions in cow yield and quality.
Description
Streptococcus uberis Detection Kit is designed to detect Streptococcus uberis-specific DNA in foods such as milk. The detection of this kit is based on TaqMan PCR, which is simple, reliable and fast. Includes Master Mix, Primer & Probe Mix for target and PCR control assays, and positive and negative controls (nuclease-free water) to confirm kit reagent integrity.
Species
Streptococcus uberis
Quality Control Test
Each Streptococcus uberis TaqMan PCR Kit is tested against predetermined specifications to ensure consistent product quality.
Notes
If the reagents are to be used only intermittently, they should be frozen in aliquots.
Stability
All reagents can be stored for 1 year at -20℃ without showing any reduction in performance.
Storage
This product should be stored at -20℃ upon arrival. Repeated thawing and freezing (> 2 ×) of the Master Mix, Control Master Mix and Positive Control should be avoided, as this may affect the performance of the assay.
Warning
Follow general precautions. All specimens should be considered potentially infectious and handled accordingly.
1. Take protective measures.
2. Use sterile pipette tips.
3. Use aseptic technique.
4. Do not use consumables and equipment in dedicated areas for i) sample extraction, ii) reaction setup, and iii) amplification/detection.
5. Store and extract positive material (specimens, controls, and amplicons) separately from all other reagents.
6. Dispose of unused kit reagents and samples according to local, provincial or federal regulations.
7. The presence of PCR inhibitors may lead to false negative or invalid results. Potential mutations within the targeted region of the Streptococcus uberis genome covered by the primers in this kit may result in the undetectable presence of the pathogen.
8. Ensure that proper specimen collection, transport, storage, and handling techniques are followed to achieve optimum performance of this test.
