Product Name
Cronobacter spp. PCR Detection Kit
Product Overview
Cronobacter spp. PCR Detection kit is designed for the detection of Cronobacter in food and environmental samples.
Antigen Description
Cronobacter, formerly known as Enterobacter sakazakii, is a ubiquitous pathogen that has been isolated from food, environmental and clinical samples. It is associated with rare but fatal infant infections linked to the consumption of reconstituted powdered infant formula.
Description
The Cronobacter spp. PCR Detection kit is based on the fast, sensitive, and proven technology of real-time PCR. The kit is intended for the detection of Cronobacter spp. in food, mainly infant formula and baby food, and environmental samples.
Due to the sensitivity and specificity of PCR, results can be obtained in as little as 16 h following a single enrichment in nonselective buffered peptone water.
Storage
Store dehydrated at 2-8℃ in a carefully sealed package in a dry and dark place. The PIF Supplement is stable for 6 weeks at 2-8℃ in a dark place once reconstituted.
Warning
This test must be performed by trained personnel.
Samples and enrichment cultures must be handled as potentially infectious material and discarded according to local rules and regulations.
All potentially infectious material should be autoclaved before disposal.
