Mammalian cells and tissues are commonly dissociated using trypsin, an enzyme from the porcine pancreas. The concentration of trypsin required to separate cells from their substrate depends on the cells' sensitivity. This reference contains 0.25% of trypsin, EDTA (0.02%) and phenol red.
