We are seeking senior scientists with a specialty in gene editing research, especially in plasmid construction, cell transfection, cell culture, plant culture, virus (lentivirus and AAV) packaging and other gene editing-related fields.
Candidates are expected to have extensive work experience in relevant biotechnology companies.
Responsibilities
Cell culture of cyanobacteria, plant cells and yeast, including isolation, activation and cryopreservation.
Vector construction and engineering to modulate expression.
Viral vector engineering and generation.
Supervise, mentor and cross-train other scientists within the gene editing group.
Troubleshoot and remove issues hindering the successful development of gene editing.
Present project plans and ongoing progress regularly.
Qualifications
PharmD or Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology or biochemistry is preferred. Ph.D. in other related fields is also considered.
A minimum of 2 years of work experience in relevant biotechnology companies.
Strong knowledge and skills in molecular biology, transcriptional regulation, vector construction, transient and stable expression systems.
Proven ability in project design and management, and capable of leading an R&D team independently.
Ability to multitask and contribute in a challenging intellectual environment.
