Mid-sized, slender, aromatic tree from North Eastern India with branches clad in three-leaflet leaves and sweetly scented greenish white flowers, transforming into smooth-shelled "bael fruit" with various traditional uses, including Hindu rituals and Ayurvedic treatments.
