Description

Cape Gooseberries, delectable sweet fruits, ripen in late summer from easy-to-grow plants. Similar to outdoor tomatoes, they belong to the same plant family. Encased in a paper-like covering, the fruits store well and can be used in various culinary delights or enjoyed fresh. While naturally perennial in Mediterranean and warmer UK gardens, they are best grown as annuals in most UK gardens or containers.
