Description

This Californian shrub, the sole representative of its genus, showcases large, scented, pure white flowers with conspicuous yellow stamens, forming a dense, evergreen presence with glossy dark-green foliage. While preferring a warm sheltered spot against a wall, it adapts to mild open gardens, potentially losing some leaves in a cold winter, and sets good fertile seed infrequently.
