Description

Prairie Spiderwort, the shortest of Midwest Spiderworts at one foot, successfully spreads through seed and underground rhizomes in dry, sandy prairies, also known as Long-bracted Spiderwort. Western Spiderwort (Tradescantia occidentalis) boasts attractive blue-green foliage, heat, and drought tolerance, becoming aggressive in fertile soils, self-seeding well.
