Delicate and dwarf, this rarely-offered primula relative graces early spring with umbels of deeply cleft, purple bells on delicate stems. Thriving in moist woodlands and mountain meadows of northeastern Europe, it readily self-seeds in shaded, damp, organic soil, adding an enchanting touch to the garden.
