Description

After many years of growth, this astonishing specimen becomes a massive gray trunk reaching 30 m tall, with an enormous crown up to 6m wide. The terminal inflorescence, after 50 to 80 years, holds the world's largest flowering structure, producing millions of flowers. Though monocarpic (dying after flowering), this tree from tropical Asia is a breathtaking landscape addition for large parks and gardens.
